Meri Beti
This collection is very special to us as it is inspired from emotions and the unique relationship of a mother and daughter. The theme for the collection is flowers and the Bridal Lehanga itself is inspired from Cherry blossoms as the bride was relocating to Japan after her wedding. The collection comprises of ethnic & contemporary styles from traditional lehangas & suits to our version of a jumpsuit, dhotis, jackets & sarees. A combination of pastels and bright colors were used with modern and traditional intricate embroideries.
The highlight of our ‘Meri Beti’ collection was Kadambari’s bridal Lehanga. Our main focus was on the material and the colour . As it was a day wedding, We chose a light pink colour inspired by the cherry blossoms. We decided to go for a traditional lakhnavi skirt. The blouse was designed with a geometric approach of threadwork along with French knots and sequence to depict flowers on the blouse.
Since it was a gurudwara wedding and her head had to be covered , the focus would be on her back, therefore we designed concentric circles with sequence embroidery. The entire process from design and converting it into reality took us about 3 months. The entire credit for this goes to our devoted team.
